Finally the mask has been taken off ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Being this Handsome can mean a lot to people. If anyone considers me handsome, I feel flattered - my parents get all the Glory though. Realistically, it doesn't hurt to be good-looking, especially in this business.

KIMBERLY Gender: Feminine From the name of a city in South Africa which was originally named for Lord Kimberley, whose surname means "land belonging to CYNEBURGA" in Old English.
Bingo! Saint Kimberly! March 6 St. Cyneburga (Kyneburga) and St. Cyneswide (Kuneswide), & St. Tibba --------------------------------------------------------------------- Died c. 680. Cyneburga and Cyneswide were daughters of Penda, the pagan king of Mercia who fiercely opposed Christianity. Cyneburga married a Northumbrian prince and later became abbess-founder of Dormancaster (now Castor) in Northamptonshire, and was succeeded by her sister as abbess.Tibba was their near kinswoman, who joined them in the convent. Their relics were enshrined in the abbey of Peterborough, where the trio are particularly venerated (Attwater, Benedictines, Gill). This group is portrayed in art as two abbesses and a nun, sometimes they are shown with the Abbey of Castor (Roeder). See http://groups.yahoo.com/group/celt-saints/message/1851

This is my most recent pic that I have and it's about two years old Not much has changed except I have gained a few new white hairs. And I'm about 20 pounds lighter

Is it just me, or has anybody else noticed that there no pictures on this thread at all? There are some links, but also some posts with no links, but which refer to pictures that I just cannot see.

It has recently been brought to my attention that there is a picture of me that might be accessible to some people...
I am in the 2005 GOA Yearbook on page 188. The Archbishop is giving an award to Sen. Sarbanes exactly one year ago today, on St. Demetrios' Day (this is how I discovered the picture).
There are two seminarians in the photo; I am the one in front of St. John the Forerunner's icon, looking out over the back of the Senator.

Paidi mou! May I remind you that the person you call "Death" Sarbanes is a lawfully elected Senator of the United States? I'd never take that kind of liberty! Perhaps "Babykiller" Sarbanes for specificity, but never anything as generic as 'Death"....

Oh! Well then, I heartily agree with you, as well as when you oringinally posted your nickname for the Senator. Actually, you don't want to know my thoughts when I saw 'Babykiller' up close and personal, and he being honored in a place as holy as that chapel! Ever since then, I have been very sensitive to the concept that our Orthodox politicians really need to be, well, Orthodox

You have so many great pictures of Moscow. I was at MGU summer before last(summer before that in Russia too, but not for MGU). You've even got a picture of my old metro stop -Prospect Vernadskovo (ostarozhno, dveri ....) Some great Stary Melnik and Sibirskaya Corona pics too . Where's the Baltika? Ahhh...I miss it.

Bogoliubtsy- Were you staying at the dorm at Prospect Vernadskovo? I was there for a few weeks - then I dropped out of the "program" I was in and tutored and lived with a professor. I just got my slides developed-5 and a half rolls of 36-I haven't even looked at them through the projector yet.
Yes, the kiosks were about my favorite thing in Russia (besides the Churches of course) ...gin and tonic in a can...ahhhh...mmm

^That is something, mina! Who is that saint?
He was our previous Pope, Pope St. Kyrillos VI, who was a wonder-worker. I see. Do you have any idea when that picture was taken? Late 90s I believe. This picture went viral in the Coptic community. I would be interested to know just where this was taken... Looks like a normal photograph of a painting on the wall to me. †IC XC† †NI KA† Tags edited - MK.

hmm why where these threads merged? Because they have the same purpose No. I think its a simple misunderstanding. The English phrase "Post Your Picture" means, in this case, "post a picture of yourself" (ie a self portrait). The "Picture of the Day" thread was not self portraits. I think you need to undo this merge because you have just destroyed a significant part of OCnet history (the "Post Your Picture" thread).

Over time, some of these servers stop operating or move data so the links are no longer current.
