My struggle with Numerical Methods project would have failed very quickly If I hadn't recovered my spiritual and physical strength with the incredibly amazing and amazingly incredible May's Post of the Month. The author in a laconic but imbued with wisdom message managed to explain us the Divine truth without unnecessary embellishments and complicated language. I think everyone can benefit from such a great post. Brothers and Sisters, give a big round of applause to genesisone! I said saints were celibate before becoming saints, which could mean three weeks, such as in the case of martyrs, three years or from the time of birth. I never said: Saints never had a part of their lives when they were not Saintly. Might I suggest something else could be at work: it was not their celibacy that made them saints, but that their saintliness led them to choose celibacy. The aforementioned St Mary of Egypt would be an example of that. WORTHY! WORTHY! WORTHY!

Frustrated. I felt the same way when the last few POTM were announced, but didn't say anything. I don't have any issue with the post, and like genesisone, I just have found all the winners this year to be underwhelming.

Awesome post. Perhaps your simple message explains why a mandatory celibate priesthood in Roman Catholicism does not make sense.

Awesome post. Perhaps your simple message explains why a mandatory celibate priesthood in Roman Catholicism does not make sense. Not really, since one of the chief reasons why mandatory celibacy arose is because a priest cannot serve mass when he's had sex the night before, and priests in the Catholic Church are expected to serve mass daily.
