If he becomes king, Prince Charles wants to be known as Defender of the Faiths or as Defender of Faith and not as Defender of the [Anglican] Faith. Are you comfortable with having Prince Charles as defender of your faith?

I'm not from England. I just wanted to post about it because I think some people would enjoy it. I watched part of the celebrations on CNN and it really was moving.

Many British are fiercely loyal to Her Majesty, the Queen of England. But some countries have given up their majestic royal family in favor of democracy.

The UK very nearly has, or, rather, it has very nearly given up a monarch with any real authority at all (yes, yes, I know the Queen COULD do a number of things, but how well do you really think that would go over with her subjects?).

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more. A hasty quarrel kindles fire, and urgent strife sheds blood. If you blow on a spark, it will glow; if you spit on it, it will be put out; and both come out of your mouth

I got up extra early to watch the Service of Thanksgiving this morning. Well worth the loss of sleep - I can nap later. I highly appreciate that Her Majesty's devotion to her realms is really part of her devotion to God. It was reported that this service was the part of the Jubilee celebrations that she was looking forward to the most.
However, she did seem so alone without Prince Philip beside her.

We cannot legislate morality by passing laws controlling firearms. The only evil we can combat lies within our hearts. We need stronger laws to protect the moral foundation of society against the evil of gay marriage.
