Personal Text? We can have personal text?

I'm getting ready to share Orthodoxy with a Protestant friend who recently left our previous church.  Since he left our previous church he's been wanting to visit other Churches to study them with the thought of starting his own church. (He's had previous Pastoral experience and run a non-church ministry, but I think knows nothing about Orthodoxy.)

He asked to visit our new church. I plan on taking him to a Saturday Vespers service, perhaps this Saturday. Since he was not one of the people we spoken about exactly what it is we are doing, I want to explain that to him first, and then take him if he still wants to go. He's a good man and has some of the same traits and outlooks that assisted me in being open to God's leading to move to Orthodoxy.

Please pray for him.

It's good that you're leaning toward Vespers. There's no Communion then, so your friend won't have to worry about it.  Smiley

Bona fortuna! Also, today would be a great day to take him to vespers, because tomarrow is Pentecost, so today Great Vespers and Litya would normally be held!

It didn't work for last Saturday but he's coming over to talk tomorrow, and if he still want to visit Church after that we'll aim for a week from Saturday.

Conversation went well, did plenty of listening too.  Grin  The information on Orthodoxy was well received. Planning to take my friend to Vespers with us a week from Saturday.
