Preparation for the Holy Pentecost

Preparation for the Holy Pentecost

My question is: are you preparing for this great feast? If yes, in which way?
I know that there are some small differences in prayer rule (from Pascha we omit “Heavenly King”, from Ascension we don’t sing “It is truly meet” but the Irmos of the Ascension Canon etc.) when we compare it with the “usual” time. I’ve read somewhere that e.g. Malankara Orthodox fast from the day after Ascension until the Sunday of the Pentecost.
Of course, for me it’s obvious that I attend the All-night vigil of the feast, Liturgy and Vespers with kneeling and receive the Holy Eucharist, but is there any special liturgical practice or prayer before the descent of the Holy Spirit?
I’m curious about it because when I used to be a kind of Roman Catholic each eve from the Ascension to Pentecost some special litanies to the Holy Spirit were read.
Maybe your parishes or you personally have some special practices in this time from the Ascension?
