Since it's the anniversary of the beginning of the 1798 rebellion, let's share some Irish rebel songs.

What's Left of the Flag by Flogging Molly

Black Friday Rule by Flogging Molly

Rebels of the Sacred Heart by Flogging Molly

Bloody Sunday by U2

There are a few more that I know of, but I can not remember their names. A band (Nosey Flynn) that used to play every Sunday at a good Irish pub had a few that they would sing, and also some ballads.

Irish songs can usually by themselves be rebel songs because Irish culture itself was suppressed by the British. For example, harps and wearing green were illegal.

This song is about that.

The Orthodox Celts "Star of the County Down" and "Rocky Road to Dublin" are both quite good.

I have yet to hear a poor rendition of Rocky Road to Dublin
