Becoming a catechumen
« on: May 23, 2012, 10:54:44 AM »
So I will be a catechumen this Sunday after all.  Im excited!

Pray for my wife especially that she would be at peace with everything.  Pray for me as I am nervous for some reason.
Even if we have thousands of acts of great virtue to our credit, our confidence in being heard must be based on God's mercy and His love for men. Even if we stand at the very summit of virtue, it is by mercy that we shall be saved.

This is great news!!!   Congratulations!

I would be worried if you were NOT nervous!  However, I hope it's more of an excited nervous, than an anxious nervous.

You will be fine!

Many years!

Remember we've got many posters here who would love to help you and set you straight if you get confused with any teachings!   ;)

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Thanks everyone! I feel much better about everything after talking to the priest more today!
