I'm doin a new scene from the play Cherry Orchard by Chekhov...in THIS play, the mother in the family is called repeatedly "Mamochka" by my character, who is identified as her "adopted daughter." Can someone who grew up speaking Russian (or who knows the answer) tell me, besides simply "mother," if there is something more specific this word refers to? Thanx! Smiley
