Sauerkraut and heat can have amazing effects on meat--sausage, cat, platypus, alpaca, etc.....

And I'd *still* like to know if sausage (and your very words confirm that you concede that it is, indeed, sausage) has ears. 

Besides, if you have better looking (if not necessarily better *tasting*) sausage, how's about a look at it?
You could even post (not as in send by snail mail) a "link".
