Lol, I just realised something. According to the caption under your picture, you are "within the ' Normal Orthodox Tradition'," in other words, you are winthin the NOT. So if someone asks you what Orthodox group you're in, you can respond "I'm NOT" EDIT--That, too, was meant as a joke. I do not mean to imply that the OCA is not Orthodox!

Wait a minute. The Normal Orthodox Tradition is the Greek Orthodox Church, not the OCA. The OCA is an outgrowth of the Russian Orthodox Church, which as everyone knows, received the Faith from the Greeks.

And the Greeks received their faith from the Jews! Let's all join the JP! (though we'll have to ignore that Jerusalem was, for a number of centuries, primarily a Gentile city in which Jews were forbidden to enter)

We could have a whole West Side/East Side dance theme!

[All Orthodox Roads lead to Greece! ]
Better get a new map! All Orthodox roads lead to Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Not Athens. It was in Antioch they were first called christians..not Athens or Constantinople!

Well, at least if we were to go there - we could get into a nice RUMBLE every now and again with the Roman Catholics. We could have a whole West Side/East Side dance theme! LOL -- I can hear it now: [sung to the tune of "Quintet" from West Side Story] "The Orthos gonna have their day...toniiiiiiiight, The Cath'lics gonna run away...toniiiiiiiiight, Those dirty Latins grumble: 'Fair fight!' But if they start a rumble, We'll humble 'em riiiiiiiiight!" Disclaimer: said parody was in no way to indicate that the author thereof himself believed any and/or all members of the Roman Catholic Church to be proud and/or dirty. Any and all who take offense at this attempt at being lighthearted and dorky should, well, get over themselves.

Lol, I just realised something. According to the caption under your picture, you are "within the ' Normal Orthodox Tradition'," in other words, you are winthin the NOT. So if someone asks you what Orthodox group you're in, you can respond "I'm NOT" LOL. I took this epithet because I find the term "True Orthodox" to be a trivial redundancy. Awhile back, I noticed a new forum in Yahoo groups called NormalOrthodox, for "persons who belong to a Church whose hierarchy is in full, concelebrating communion with one or more of these Local Orthodox Churches, whose membership comprises 'Normal Standard Orthodoxy,' are welcomed as members... ...Membership in the group presupposes that the Orthodox Church, defined as the Body of Christ or the Faithful/membership of Normal Standard Orthodoxy, is the True Church: the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church of the Orthodox Nicene Creed. Untrue Orthodoxy is an impossibility, and such does not exist. Adherents to Old or New calendars are welcome, as are those who appreciate and find the observance of either to be salutary." I found this hilarious when I first read it.

Yes, the new Yahoo group gets its direction from its original sponsor - Bishop Tikhon (OCA). This is his approved definition which I too found 'interesting' <grin>
