Christos Voskrese!
Many years to both Mothers Michaela and Raphaela!
While I didn't get a chance to meet Mother Raphaela when we visited the monastery several weeks ago, Mother Michaela was our "tour guide".
Our experience was wonderful and lately, my 4 year old (!!) has been asking to "see the nuns again". We may use this as an excuse to visit them again.
Thanks for sharing this!
They are wonderful, spiritually blessed women indeed. My wife is a program director at the local Childrens Museum. The nuns are always willing, when able, to participate in special activities such as Farm Days and come down from Otego with a few of their domesticated farm animals - goats, chickens and baby lambs in the spring. They enthrall the youngsters and provide a great living witness to our Faith to the adults who see them not as strange folks in black robes, but as living, breathing people with a love for the life they have chosen.
