Lord have mercy! Memory eternal!
By all accounts, a decent person, and a promoter of good, clean fun.

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more. A hasty quarrel kindles fire, and urgent strife sheds blood. If you blow on a spark, it will glow; if you spit on it, it will be put out; and both come out of your mouth

"Eternal Memory." I will miss him, he was a big part of the lives of those of us who are Baby Boomers.
(I don't know his religious preference, but his funeral will be held at a "St. Theresa" Church, which indicates it might be Roman Catholic.)

Memory Eternal.......Dick Clark was a big part of me growing up in the late 50's. Never volgar, always welcoming to folks especially kids, a wholesome time at least more wholesome in my mind. He also broke the color barrier for black entertainers when this was not the norm. He was a bit ahead of his time.

Next New Year's Eve is going to be a little sad. I bet they do a tribute to him on ABC. Oh, and I loved watching Bandstand when I was a kid.
