What about frogs? I like frogs!

Our son was baptized today. Because of his recent hospitalization for respiratory failure we had to go with a pouring method rather than dunking. But it is still a valid baptism and I can understand why we had to forgo dunking the boy. Cheesy I wanted him baptized sooner rather than later, so pouring was a good option. I didn't think that it was worth delaying his reception into the church just so he could be fully immersed.

A week ago he was just being taken off the ventilator to try his lungs on room air, so being baptized is a pretty big improvement from this time last week!

Thank you to all those that prayed for us. I really do appreciate it.

Many years to little Gerasimos!

Not to be flippantly dismissive, but something of such a personal nature as this is best addressed by your priest, not by anonymous yahoos on an Internet discussion forum.

Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.
