Bill Gates visits Coptic Hope Center
Reporting by Fady & Gina
3/4/2012

Last Monday, Bishop Paul, one of two Coptic Orthodox general bishops here in Africa, told us that Bill Gates was coming for a visit to the Coptic Hope Center here at the hospital. At first we thought he was joking, but when he showed up and began making preparations for the visit, we realized that we were going to get to meet one of the richest men in the world!

That's cool.

Let's hope he shares some of his wealth with the center.

Wealth and hopefully faith.  May God grant that this be a time of growing faith for him.

Qawe, welcome to the forum.

You can come here to be a positive influence and help keep this such a great place or you can be a bitter & angry person. It's your choice.

tbh I don't see how I was bitter and angry at all!
It was meant to be taken light-heartedly, but if you are (as it seems) bitter and angry at Stavro's sentiment, and thus my implicit endorsement of it, that's your prerogative.

Please pray for me,

I apologize if I misunderstood your point. It seemed to me you were getting enjoyment out of someone's obnoxious post. Why point it out when everyone else ignored it?

Some people come here to bond with other Christians. Others come just to tear down, to mock, and to attack. We all have that choice of persona we take when posting here.

As OO we're doubly blessed to have this pretty much be the only place with posters from each and every one of our Churches. And, I just don't want to see it ruined like so many other forums.

Forgive me for sounding too harsh. I should've been more charitable in my statement.

May the Saints pray for us all.

Achronos, why would Orthonorm care? I mean no one misrepresented Islamic teaching or anything.  angel

Why would it be sarcastic? Having such a high-profile visitor will surely attract some attention, which may lead people to inquire, and eventually convert...  is that not a blessing?

If you know Stavro and the bishop concerned, it is obvious that it's sarcasm!
