Quick Question
« on: March 29, 2012, 10:24:13 AM »
About how long does tonight's "Great Compline with Canon of St. Andrew" last?  I'm thinking of going to it, since it begins at 7 pm would like to have an idea since I'm taking a city bus, at that time they go once an hour.  Are there differences in length by jurisdictional tendency? (Serbian or Greek)

Thanks

(Off to work now where personal use of computers is out so, in event one asks anything of me, likely won't post again before this service if I go.)

I depends.  :)

I've attended at the same parish, and some years they were longer and others shorter.

I would go, and then just watch the clock and leave when you have to in order to catch the bus back home.

It's better to go for "part" than not go at all.

Not on Wednesday?

Mine was 2 hours.

Our was 2 hours as well last night. During the 5th week the Presanctified Liturgy is prescribed to be served on Wed, Thurs and Friday to give us strength as we chant the Great Canon and the Akathist to the Theotokos.
