It may be well for the RCC to examine its own conscience in the matters of their performance during WWII.

Not to mention the most recent collaboration with altar boys.

It may be well for the RCC to examine its own conscience in the matters of their performance during WWII.

I would be happy to agree with you, but then both of us would be wrong.

Newsflash.  The Russian Orthodox Church wasn't the only one to collaborate with Communist Regimes

Isn't their supreme pontiff in Cuba right now?

Quote
Ecumenical relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Eastern-rite Ukrainian Orthodox Church are being stymied because the Moscow patriarchate will not admit its culpability for cooperating with Stalinist regime.The Moscow patriarchate’s unwillingness to acknowledge moral responsibility for cooperating in the persecution is “a serious obstacle to the development of mutual relations. The ability to apologize shows a lively Christian conscience, which is a precondition for the so-called healing of memories- Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk of the Ukrainian Catholic Rite.
When His Beatitude comes out and starts demanding that Ukraine disgorge its ill gotten gains from cooperating with the Stalinist regime, and demand that Western Ukraine be ceded back to Poland (and the Vatican-Warsaw Concordat of 1925 and its implementation be imposed on His Beatitude as it was on his predecessor Met. Sheptytsky: restrictions on him only became a moral issue for the Vatican in 1946), except for Zakarpattia, which should go to Slovakia, and Cernivtsi, which should go back to Romania (in reality), I'll take him seriously.  Not until.

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Shouldn't Zakarpattia be an independent nation?
By the way, all these accusations are fruitless.
As Leopold said in the Russian Kot Leopold cartoons, Dudes, let's stay friendly.
