Prayer for a Forum member.
« on: March 19, 2012, 07:38:45 PM »
Dear friends, brothers and sisters,

I humbly ask that you pray for a brother on this forum.  I'm anxious to give his name, but I haven't asked permission from him yet.  He was in the hospital til 4am.  He was experiencing heart problems and he told me they may have found some blockage.  He has to go back in Wednesday for some procedures.  Please pray that the situation will resolve itself and he will get better.

Most Holy Theotokos, please pray for our brother-in-Christ.  Comfort him, and pray for healing.  Amen.

Lord, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy and grant him a speedy and complete recovery!

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Be comforted, and have faith, O Israel, for your God is infinitely simple and one, composed of no parts.

Lord have mercy !
To God be the Glory in all things! Amen!

Only pray for me, that God would give me both inward and outward strength, that I may not only speak, but truly will; and that I may not merely be called a Christian, but really be found to be one. St.Ignatius of Antioch.Epistle to the Romans.

Lord, have mercy!
Quote from: Fr. Thomas Hopko, dystopian parable of the prodigal son
...you can imagine so-called healing services of the pigpen. The books that could be written, you know: Life in the Pigpen. How to Cope in the Pigpen. Being Happy in the Pigpen. Surviving in the Pigpen. And then there could be counselling, for people who feel unhappy in the pigpen, to try to get them to come to terms with the pigpen, and to accept the pigpen.

Thank you Gabriel! And thanks to everyone else for your kind prayers. Prayer works, and I am doing ok right now. They fixed the blockage with angioplasty and a stint, so my heart should be ok for a while. The doctor thinks I may have a stomach ulcer, and he also said that I am anemic. All that certainly explains why I usually feel so sluggish. But I should be able to help these things with some nutritional adjustments and exercise. Thank you again so much!
