Quote
He doesn't practice what he preaches? I think it is much easier to say that the Jews had and have very little to do with the true God
So the Old Testament is about who?

Well there is that guy who was thrown out of heaven... But maybe he was just thrown out of the Jew, who had placed him in heaven in his mind.

Huh

Please. Why should I think Christ transformed reality, and not that Christ transformed the Jewish religion, because Satan was never in heaven to begin with.

An eye for an eye is about retribution.. turn the other cheek is about love(?)

Eye for an eye makes response to another more equally fitting. Turn the other cheek is about having love for your neighbor, even in light of hate.

So an eye for an eye = retribution is opposed to turn the other cheek non retribution, love the one that harms and hates you.. One about vengence over your enemy , one about loving your enemy.

Why did he say that before his crucifixion?

I'm sorry, I'm really not understanding the question. The sentence doesn't make much sense to me. Would you mind expanding the thought a little?

No, "eye for an eye" is a 'baby step' approach to transform a pagan ethos people from full retribution to one with restraint. Turn the other cheek was the next step for an Israel that has been transformed and sanctified by hundreds of years of pious Jews.

Because He wanted to. What does it matter?
