Why do you say this? There are many Orthodox male monasteries in the U.S. Have you ever visited St. Nektarios Monastery in Roscoe, NY? It is like being on Mt. Athos in America!
http://www.stnektariosmonastery.org/Please remember that all holy monasteries of all the Orthodox jurisdictions *depend* on our support, whether it be a gift of food, buying something from their gift/bookstores, a small donation given, etc. It is always nice to call and ask if they need any food in particular. If not, buying any food in bulk (from Costco for instance) is always appreciated (nuts, peanut butter, jam, honey, sugar, creamer, tuna, beans, olive oil, etc.).
