Pray for my father, he had a heart attack
« on: February 29, 2012, 01:02:08 AM »
Please pray for my father, Les, he had a heart attack and is in the hospital. He's safe for now, the artery that's blocked can't be treated with a balloon or a stint so they're trying to use medicine to dissolve the clot and he will be in the hospital for several days.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

May the Lord have mercy and grant him a speedy and complete recovery.
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

So far today he's doing okay, he got to sit up some. Per the doctor, he may be out of the hospital this weekend or maybe not.

As someone who's suffered two heart attacks and almost a third, I understand how serious this is.

"Lord have mercy."

Lord have mercy.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai

Thanks, everyone for your prayers.  :)  As of today he's doing some closely monitored and very limited walking for therapeutic purposes. Says he's doing better, but sounds weak on the phone. Looks like he'll be in the hospital til Monday at least.
