Tamootsen is one week old today  Unfortunately his bilirubin is elevated and he has to be readmitted into the hospital tonight  I really want to stay with him so I can feed him. Formula isn't an option because of allergies. Nor is it necessary because I produce plenty of sustenance for him. I do have a stockpile of expressed milk that I can leave for him if need be. But I would much rather be with my baby to feed him than leave milk for the nurses to feed him. Prayers that his bili drops or that they could consider home therapy would be appreciated. He is right on the cusp of high bili. Ideally in a pre-term baby they want the level at 15 or lower and Taz is at 18. So we are close to being in the safe zone, but not quite there. I just want to have my baby home with the rest of my babies and to sleep with my husband. |

He looks so cute with his little shades on! On his little tanning bed. I hope the next set of labs is better. i worked in PICU in the 80s, I remember how stressful it was for parents. |

His bili was down to 9 yesterday. He is filling diapers like crazy. I think we have turned a corner. Hopefully March will prove to be the no hospitalization month for us.
