What would Pontius Pilate do?

Better yet, WWJD?

Remember that making a whip out of cords and toppling tables is a valid option.

Edit: this would make a great HH theme Cheesy

Maybe someone (I'm thinking especially about NicholasMyra  angel)'d like to take over the fanpage?

I thought about it, but then asked myself,

What would Pontius Pilate do?

Huh

It's a Bible joke.

From St. Luke's Gospel, chapter 11:

"10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?"

Huh

If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! (Luke 11: 11-13)

Praises Church Fathers
Never read Church Fathers

Thinks the Septuagint should be used exclusively
Only ever reads translations from the Masoretic.

Blames protestants for proof-texting scripture
Proof-texts Schaff's 39-volume series on the Church Fathers instead

Wears sunglasses with his cassock, isn't told he looks like Neo.

Wears cassock out in public, isn't asked if he is Jewish.

Lady stares at him on the subway, finally asks "Are you Orthodox?"

Sits down at coffee hour, converts are intermingling with cradles.

Says "silent prayers" out loud, Bishop doesn't mind.

Dunno which is funniest.

Cradle Christopher: Sees a dozen lit candles at church, snuffs them out to "prevent fire".

^ a little extreme, but its really upsetting (and others I know, including cradles feel this way) when people extinguish our candles before they are even half-burned because its either "too crowded" or it could "cause a fire". Thousand of Orthodox Churches burn these candles in candlestands or sand pits every Sunday and there isn't ever a fire. I've even seen them do it in sand pits which are surrounded with metal.
