Hello, all.

One of my cousins has had some troubles over the years with drinking and depression and such. Drugs haven't been much of a vice, thankfully, but she did overdose once. She's also had deadbeat boyfriends and strained relations with her parents. In addition, she's a single mother (though the child's father is quite responsible, especially since he broke his own drug and alcohol addictions).

Anyways, over the last couple of years, she's made great strides towards cleaning up her life and overcoming her mental problems. Unfortunately, a DUI she had a couple years ago right before she started going clean has come back to haunt her. She had just finished a fight with her now ex-deadbeat boyfriend, had a few drinks, stormed out of her mother & stepfather's house (where they lived at the time), and drove up the street to a nearby cul-de-sac. Neighbors got suspicious and called the police.

Fast forward to the past few days. To put it simply, the ex and a couple of his friends went before the judge and flat out lied about what she was doing that night. Now she's spending 20 days in jail, lost her job, and will lose her license for a year.

Pray for her that she doesn't fall off the wagon again because of the stress and sheer mess that is her life right now. Pray for the rest of our family as well. Also, pray for the ex and his friends that they might have a change of heart someday.

Lord have mercy on them all.

Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
