Funny, I went to confession this morning at a Catholic Church one last time before I became an Orthodox catechumen. I felt oddly Catholic this morning. But now I feel Orthodox.

Was it wrong for me to go to RCC confession? Ive just felt so deprived of the sacraments. I felt like this morning was my last chance for a few months.
And thank you for your words and prayers of encouragement.

If it troubles you, you can confess it in a few months. But Paisius is right. It is behind you now.

Thank you. I do feel good. I do feel very Orthodox now. I can't wait for our chrismation (and the other sacraments for our little ones.) Should be around Pascha.

God bless u and yr family. u don't need to worry about confessing in more than 1 church, as far as i know, no one banned it! did u 'confess' u were going to be orthodox? may God bless yr priest as well and compensate him and the church for yr loss. each person has to find his / her own path, but don't burn yr bridges (unless they are bridges to people who will tempt u into a life of crime) and keep yr friends. as u learn more, u will have things to teach them. remember in all things, that the prime reason for joining the orthodox church is to be close to God and glorify Him, much as it may seem sometimes that it's about politics and showing who's the smartest. [edit for typo - this computer has most of the letters rubbed off from over use by my colleague..]

Yes I am. It's hard to remember the details, I was in a bit of a daze. But I understand it is a bit simpler than than the ER Chrismation. Lots of prayers--calling down the Holy Spirit--chrism on our foreheads--draped in whit garments--reception of candles. It was awesome.

lol maybe. Our priest kind of knew me before and knew the time I had already spent in prayer and discernment. That may have helped expedite things. Plus, we went through a process before even becomming catechumens.

Yes I am. It's hard to remember the details, I was in a bit of a daze. I felt the same way! I was astonished by the photos later on and when I saw someone else chrismated, I thought "Wow! You mean all that went on?" I pretty much only remember kneeling. Anyhow, congratulations and many years!
