Laudetur Jesus Christus!
In the Catholic Church there is a religious order called the Carmelite Order. Some monks of that order , in an interview, stated/said that St Elias, and his other friends, lived the Carmelite life but in a primitive Old Testament way. You can also read about it in the Book of the First Monks (a Catholic book). So it seems that St Elias, not St Anthony, is the Father of the monks (and nuns). What does the Oriental Orthodox Churches say about this subject?
