I check on it quite often (I have a wide taste in blogs). A little conservative, but less pushing the agenda than some other blogs. Also a good place to run into some of our posters in the comments section.

I occasionally read it, as with most other blogs mainly when I am linked to an article. I am - as, again, with most blogs - ambivalent towards it. I think that, like many other sites, it can be too harsh, and in a way that is not always in keeping with the way an Orthodox Christian should view things.
EDIT: Not that I mean to imply I am not myself often that way, just that it isn't ideal. Oh, and Fr. George, is there any particular reason you're interested in people's opinions?

You should understand, when I first found this particular blog it was next in my reading list after the Ochlophobist (I agree[d in Och's case] with neither one politically, I just enjoy reading highly politicized material). Monomakhos and OCA Truth I agree and gave veiled references in my original reply. Touchstone scores a few points in my book because while they are "conservative" they are also "ecumenical", which irks the "True Orthodox", which is just beautiful (a good reason, BTW, to appreciate the Manhattan Declaration. Anything that has both RC Sproul and the TO frothing mad is good for that, at least) . |

I enjoy reading it from time to time, since I'm a bit of a political junkie. Definitely not using it as a reading source for my inquiry, though (unless my spiritual father recommends it).
But as a pretty staunch conservative, I enjoy reading what other Orthodox conservatives have to say.

It's been a while since Fr. George asked our individual opinions of this blog. I have in the past reviewed the AOI site outright I have ignored until now the blog. Now that I have read a large part of it I have added it to my daily reading list. I sense the blog's detractors here are just taking politically motivated reactions. My reactions are merely the opposite of those. |
