I'm looking for an Akathist to St. John of Kronstadt, my patron saint; does anyone have an online source for one? I can't seem to find one in English, the only service I've come across is in Finnish: http://www.ortodoksi.net/liturgiset_tekstit/akatistohymnit/akatistos_Johannes_Kronstadtilaiselle.htm

I don't know if this is an option, but Saint John of Kronstadt Press has a book for $25 that has an akathist to St. John in it, titled: Book of Akathists: To Our Saviour, the Mother of God, and Various Saints. I've not bought that volume, but I bought the second one and thought it was very nice.

Yes, yes, youth is wasted on the young. And so is accumulated experience wasted on the old, the positives of modernism wasted on moderns, the beauty of Christianity wasted on Christians, the utility of scholarship wasted on scholars, and on and on.

Thanks, Asteriktos! I've heard good things about the Jordanville edition. Guess I should add it to my shelf and not look for freebies on the interwebs.  Grin
