For the newly departed servant of God, Mark
« on: January 24, 2012, 12:13:39 PM »
Remember, O Lord, the soul of Your departed servant, Mark, who entered into Your Heavenly Kingdom this morning. Please remember Mark in your prayers and especially pray for his family, Chris, Danielle, Nicole and Kristopher and all of his large and loving extended family. May the Mother of God protect them with her holy mantle in their time of need and may Our Savior grant them the strength to deal with their tragic loss.

from A.E. Houseman's poem, To an Athlete Dying Young, I recall the verse,

To-day, the road all runners come,
Shoulder-high we bring you home,
And set you at your threshold down,
Townsman of a stiller town.

Eternal Memory. The love of your family and your children will ensure that this prayer shall be answered.

Remember also the soul of Your departed servant, the Priest David, Mark's cousin, who died as a young man three years ago. A double tragedy for a large, loving and faithful family. Eternal Memory. Vicnaja Jemu Pamjat.

Вічна Пам'ять!

May the Lord have mercy upon the souls of the departed Mark and Priest David, and grant comfort and healing to their grieving loved ones!

Lord have mercy!

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

May the Lord have mercy on the souls of His servants Mark and Father David, may their memories be eternal , May the Lord bring comfort and peace for all their families and loved ones. Amen Lord have mercy!
To God be the Glory in all things! Amen!

Only pray for me, that God would give me both inward and outward strength, that I may not only speak, but truly will; and that I may not merely be called a Christian, but really be found to be one. St.Ignatius of Antioch.Epistle to the Romans.

Memory Eternal. Lord have mercy.

As I was contemplating this earlier this morning, it occurred to me that the dentist and his office staff need our prayers as well as the burden of dealing with what happened surely will weigh heavily upon them. Lord, have mercy.
