Remember, O Lord, the soul of Your departed servant, Mark, who entered into Your Heavenly Kingdom this morning. Please remember Mark in your prayers and especially pray for his family, Chris, Danielle, Nicole and Kristopher and all of his large and loving extended family. May the Mother of God protect them with her holy mantle in their time of need and may Our Savior grant them the strength to deal with their tragic loss.

from A.E. Houseman's poem, To an Athlete Dying Young, I recall the verse,

To-day, the road all runners come,
Shoulder-high we bring you home,
And set you at your threshold down,
Townsman of a stiller town.

Eternal Memory. The love of your family and your children will ensure that this prayer shall be answered.

Remember also the soul of Your departed servant, the Priest David, Mark's cousin, who died as a young man three years ago. A double tragedy for a large, loving and faithful family. Eternal Memory. Vicnaja Jemu Pamjat.

As I was contemplating this earlier this morning, it occurred to me that the dentist and his office staff need our prayers as well as the burden of dealing with what happened surely will weigh heavily upon them. Lord, have mercy.
