I've been assaulted by evil thoughts all day today, mostly thoughts of doubt, nihlism, atheism, bad thoughts of other people, etc. I keep trying to repel them using the Jesus Prayer but they just keep coming back. Please pray for me. Sad

I am praying for you.  Am having similar problems myself.  When praying you just have to push on through, sometimes.  God will aide you.

It is an education process for me as I learn about the psychology of spiritual apostasy. And others get the benefit of perhaps hearing righteousness for the first time.

I'm not sure if this will be effective for you, but I find that doing the sign of the cross on my forehead dispels bad thoughts extremely quickly. Follow this up with the Jesus prayer, and if they manage to make it through, cross your forehead again. Wash, rinse, and repeat.  Smiley

How shall I not weep when I think of death? For I have seen my brother in his coffin, without glory or comeliness. What, then, do I expect? And what do I hope for? Only grant me, O Lord, repentance before the end.
