I was informed today that my position will be eliminated, in order to save money, as of February 29. I have until that time to locate a new job within or outside the company. Whatever new position I should obtain will probably mean less money (and I'm not making that much as is) which is eating at me as I have a kid on the way (wife is 3 months along) and of course, there is the real possibility that I may not be able to get anything at all. I am also pretty ticked off that the operations management team who caused this fiscal crisis and who know nothing about business (they were hemorrhaging money in fines which was more than the revenue) and micromanage the department to the point that they are universally resented, will not have their positions eliminated. I'm wondering, "Where is the justice?" My anger seems to be getting the better of me. Prayers are requested that I may find a new job soon and that my wife and unborn child are taken care of and that my despair and rage may soon leave me.

Greetings in that Divine and Most Precious Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I hate to sound callous, but welcome to America Now for something a bit more sensitive: I am so sorry for you, I've been there, it hurts and is even very emasculating.. It seems clear that God is trying to wake up the modern world. We have become so caught up in our belief that technology has made our lives self-sustaining that we as a civilization often forget or outright negate God. So God has flipped it on us, shaking up the Kosmos like a snow-globe. This generation was taught to go to school, then go to work, then move out, then raise your family, and be a small, self-contained nuclear family unit. Honestly, look at the world around and it is clear to see that it is a failed experiment.
God is trying to tell us something. He is saying, "WAKE UP." That being said, we need again to reevaluate our definition of success. We need to realize that in this new economy being successful in our families is not simply about paying the bills, or working 50 hours a week, because if that were the case, then tens and tens of millions of honest, innocent Americans would be absolute, utter, failures No, we are successful now if we support our families emotionally, psychologically, and with all our efforts. Do we pick up with the chores? Do we lend a carefully sympathetic ear? Do we console the stressed and vexed? What are we contributing to our families success. Our we spiritually supporting our families through good words, kindness, consideration, and prayer? These are the new definitions of success. So long as you live by them, you will do well, and in His Grace God will surely send you what you need EXACTLY when you need it and no sooner, no later. stay blessed, habte selassie
