Went to church at St. Paul's Orthodox Mission for the first time in... 8 months? It was nice. I even took two of my young kids who were surprisingly more well behaved than I had feared, considering they haven't been going to church and I have never taken them to a Divine Liturgy. It's an hour drive for me, but hopefully I'll be able to make it back again sometime.

It's off topic, but just how many OC.net folks are in Mississippi?


Also, I'm glad to hear that things went well for you. Two of my three children have been going to DL their whole lives and can't be trusted to behave week-to-week.

This is great. I wonder what your talks at the dinner table are. Maybe something along the lines of "You see my sons, 'like a tree planted by steams of water,' (Psalms 1:3), the soul is irrigated by the Bible and acquires vigor, produces tasty fruit, namely, true faith, and is beautified with a thousand green leaves, namely, actions that please God..."
