Had a car accident yesterday after some youth decided to brake suddenly and spin round at right angles in front of me as we were approaching traffic lights which were just turning amber. I did emergency stop but couldn't avoid hitting his passenger side. Luckily no one was injured, but my car is not really road legal now as the headlights gone, bumper sticking out, bonnet crumpled. I was allowed to drive it home but now am without vehicle and my Family (Wife and 2 kids) and I depend on it a lot. Trying to claim on insurance but this youth is now claiming I hit the rear of his car! I took photos at the scene with my mobile and there was a Police Officer who said she witnessed what happened but my insurance co. are having trouble tracking her down at work. Youth's car was barely scrached and shows little damage. I was only at that location at that time after being delayed (after visiting a counsellor) when I had to stop for some time to answer a mobile call. It's as if some demon deliberately made the youth (shown in picture) perform a stunt like that when I am so desparate for help (no job, no secure home, depressed etc.)
Please pray for us to get a just outcome and some new transport!

Praying that you can obtain another vehicle as soon as possible, that your insurance company is cooperative, and that the final outcome is favorable.

Just like to update. Old car written off. Had a small cheque from insurance company. Wife and I bought a used car a few weeks ago, from local resident who trades cars. Just happened to see it parked nearby. Used it to go for two job interviews, was offered one job, started this week -bit of a trek -new car much more suitable for this kind of journey. Also useful to taxi Wife and kids about! (What vehicle would Jesus use today I wonder? -teleportation?) Transferred Orthodox pendant and Cross to new car windshield mirror.
Anyway, thanks for all your prayers. Love in Christ

God Bless. Sometimes in our silly, fast-paced world we lose sight of perspective. Cars are dangerous. In the novel "American Gods" cars are actually deified as if they were the old pagan gods to which blood was sacrificed. It is a good analogy.. Cars are dangerous. We should never lose sight of this reality. As mundane and routine as driving has become, every moment in a car is potentially a life and death struggle. So sometimes we get shaken up like this, to grab our attentions. I am so glad that God kept you and your family safe, in the meantime dwell on that fact, and surely in His mercy if God has granted you safety and life, some transportation is but a small favor to ask stay blessed, habte selassie

Thanks, habte selassie for that reminder, and to all of you for your prayers. I actually feel fear when driving to work and back - it's a bit like death race 2000 sometimes! Even though I leave early to avoid some of the traffic. I envy those monks and nuns who don't have to make the daily dice with death! I have said to my wife while out driving that vehicles are like lethal weapons.

May the Lord have mercy on you dear brother in Christ. Kyrie Eleison! Please dear God let all things work out for our friend in Christ, and may the demons who are attacking him and his family from all directions be scattered in our Lord's HOLY Name! AMEN.
Yours in Christ, Alice
