This is waht I call action! Such Greeks are to be admired and supported – unlike many in the West, they still have the backbone to stand up for their national culture and heritage.

I'd like to research the Greek Constitution and compare it to many of the Western Constitutions.  Seems according to the article that the mosque building is against the Greek Constitution. . .where as; in the US, it would not be.

What does Mecca have to do with Athens?

Nothing! Except, Mecca is a Muslim city, Athens a Christian. These two should never, ever mix or live close to one other

Such an attitude would make it very difficult to provide a good witness.

Where i live people are totally against mosques being built in their neighborhoods. Property values decline and crime inceases in the areas where the mosques are built.

Ironically even though the local council may deny permission for a mosque to be built, the Islamists appeal to a higher (socialist) court which usually over-rules the council and gives permission.

Whereas people here are conditioned to accept this rubbish and allow this unelected socialist court ride over the wishes of thousands of citizens, in Greece it wouldn't surprise me if a mob tore the mosque down (same as the Ayodiya sp? incident in India, years ago).

I find an idea that a building could harm national unity a little...erm...eccentric. I could understand an appeal against adhans (i.e. the thing shouted from a minaret) but against the building itself... Huh

What does Mecca have to do with Athens?

Nothing! Except, Mecca is a Muslim city, Athens a Christian.

...and Alexandria a Pagan.
