Tributes for young balloon tragedy victims
« on: January 08, 2012, 03:01:32 AM »
A young couple who died in yesterday's ballooning tragedy had already tried twice to go up in a hot air balloon but bad weather had postponed it.
Finally, fine weather yesterday meant 19-year-old Alexis Still and her partner Chrisjan Jordaan, in his early 20s, could float over Carterton.
But by 7.30am the pair were among 11 people who died when the balloon hit a power line, caught fire and plummeted into a paddock.

Lord, have mercy.  :( Memory eternal for all eleven.

How awful.  Lord, have mercy on the souls of those young people.

Lord have mercy and grant rest to the souls who perished.

Lord have mercy and grant comfort to the families and friends of those who mourn them.
In His Mercy,

May the memory of all who perished be eternal and may their families be comforted in the prayerful expectation of being reunited with them in Heaven
"Not only is it unnecessary to adopt the customs of the Latin Rite to manifest one's Catholicism, it is an offense against the unity of the Church."

- Melkite Archbishop Joseph (Tawil), of blessed memory

Lord, have mercy on the families and Memory Eternal to the victims.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

May the Lord have mercy on their soul, may their memory be eternal!
May the Lord grant comfort and peace for their loved ones.
To God be the Glory in all things! Amen!

Only pray for me, that God would give me both inward and outward strength, that I may not only speak, but truly will; and that I may not merely be called a Christian, but really be found to be one. St.Ignatius of Antioch.Epistle to the Romans.
