You know, when we get as far as the Salvation Army as an exemplar of Protestantism, we may not have hit the bottom of the sea but we can definitely touch it with our toes. Look, the message in this is that when one starts addressing specific practical deviancy like this, you can typically find lots of other Protestant bodies that don't accept the "change", and typically the more "deviant" the change, the larger the body that adheres to an "orthodox" position. The message is that it is illegitimate to use Protestantism as a principle in this manner.
