If I may be so bold as to ask for a few prayers:

For my grandmother, Edythe, who is not Orthodox but a devout Baptist, that she may heal from a recent terrible fall.  She is bruised so badly with two black eyes, a swollen face and a knot on her forehead.  Also, please pray that her eyesight is maintained for as long as possible -- she suffers from Macular Degeneration and her sight has been getting increasingly worse in the past few months.

For my dear, sweet daughter who will be evaluated for suspected learning disabilities in the coming weeks, and who sometimes struggles with remembering simple concepts in her schoolwork.

For me, that I may try to keep a clear head and heart when dealing with difficult decisions, situations and people, and that I may be a good wife, mother and educator to my children.

Thank you.

Thank you for the prayers.  The swelling in my grandmother's face has gone down considerably, plus she also says that the "black eyes" are gone.

Glory to God for His abundant mercy on my family!  Smiley

Prayers for Edythe's full and swift recovery from her injuries and that her eyesight be preserved.

As the Dad of a child with learning disabilities, I especially pray also for the daughter of our sister, Mariama, that the evaluation be comprehensive and that whatever services may be needed to assist this little girl to successfully compensate for these issues and achieve her fullest potential are made available.
