Quote
John Maddex visits the home of Fr. Peter and Kh. Marilyn Gillquist to talk about the recent announcement by His Eminence Metropolitan Philip of Fr. Peter's retirement as Chairman of the Department of Missions and Evangelism for the Antiochian Archdiocese. Joining them is their son, Fr. Peter Jon Gillquist.
Lord have mercy! I enjoyed reading his book "Becoming Orthodox" a few months ago. May God bless him.

P.S. The transcript for this interview is available on the Ancient Faith Radio web link above.

I listened to it yesterday, I had no idea he had cancer. God bless him!

BTW is it only me, or does he sound like John Goodman?

I didn't know of Fr Peter's cancer, either. Lord, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy. "Becoming Orthodox" is one of the most important books I've read growing up.

Lord have mercy!

Fr. Peter has had cancer for some time (years), but he has not wanted to broadcast that.  Hopefully, he will be able to enjoy some retirement.
