I have struggled with anxiety for over 10 yrs and am having some problems lately. Couldn't sleep because of crying and worrying about my brother's Crohn's disease, climate change, the end of the world. things I can't control but cause so much distress and worry which isn't constructive.

It's tiring. I don't want to get back on tranquilizing drugs.

Isadore, may God have mercy on you and comfort you.  May God have mercy on you and your brother with his terrible affliction. 

Please, don't worry about climate or the end of the world.  These are not for us to know and there is nothing we can do to affect them.  You have enough on your plate without these worries.  Whatever happens, I will pray for you.  Accept God's help in these matters.  Seek confession and Communion.  These are gifts God gives to us to help through trying times.

May God be merciful on thee.
