Very nice service.
I find the location interesting, though. Is it common for monastics to be tonsured in cathedrals with tons of people around? It was always my impression that tonsuring was done at the monastery church and never really announced publicly outside of the monastery. It's a service for the monks, welcoming a new brother or sister into their ranks (or elevating one already within their ranks). Not that non-monastics aren't allowed to be there, but that it isn't a public announcement (like a baptism, wedding or ordination) for the whole Church, but quite private for the candidate and the brotherhood/sisterhood to which he/she belongs.
EDIT: And also, many years to the newly-tonsured stavrophore-nun, Mother Theodora!
