Would anyone like to guide me in discovering Orthodox journals, and perhaps even discuss the perspectives and preferred theological approaches, tone and temperament of each?  I know of STVQ, but not much else, either in regard to the style of article they tend to publish, or of what else is out there.

Thanks for helping out a newbie!

Hi Theramenes, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I'm not aware of many English-language Orthodox journals, and the only one that I know of other than St. Vlads is The Greek Orthodox Theological Review.

I dug up some links to more journals. These are not necessarily academic journals, but they are not magazines either, so maybe some are partway in between popular level and academic. I dunno. Anyway, here they are:

Canadian Journal of Orthodox Christianity
Clarion Review
Orthodox Canada Journal
Road to Emmaus
The Orthodox Word
Irish Melkite
Information Mongeror
High Elder

A few others:

Orthodox Tradition
The Journal of the Orthodox Center for the Advancement of Biblical Studies
Journal of American Orthodox Church History
