For the Repose of Matthew
« on: December 15, 2011, 10:24:26 AM »
Matthew for whom I requested prayer recently was granted a couple of additional weeks to spend time with his family and friends before his passing at home very early this morning.

Do pray for him and his widow Kathryn and their family.

May his memory be eternal!

May the Lord bless and have mercy on his widow Kathryn and all his loved ones, granting them comfort and strength.

To God be the Glory in all things! Amen!

Only pray for me, that God would give me both inward and outward strength, that I may not only speak, but truly will; and that I may not merely be called a Christian, but really be found to be one. St.Ignatius of Antioch.Epistle to the Romans.

May his memory be eternal.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai

Lord have mercy! Memory eternal!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth
