A prince of Kuwait has apparently converted to Christianity. He recorded an audio statement, which was played on the Al-Haqiqa television network. From the article: “I fully agree to release of this material. I believe if I am killed, I will be with Jesus Christ forever,” said Prince in his address.

Praise God for this wonderful news! I know the Islamic community will spin this in light of his death sentence (yet the same have no trouble delighting in the many who convert to Islam in prison; Hmm!), but many have done the same or worse and are now glorified in Christ's kingdom here on earth and in heaven. After all, it is written that there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. May God bless him and may he be an inspiration to others to come to Christ despite all hardships and trials.

What a wonderful news, glory to God! We hear sometiems about muslims converting to christianity, but I don't know any case in recent times of a muslim converted to christianity from royal family. I'm only curious about which denomination he's chosen.

"Last October Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah was found guilty of the murder of his nephew Shaikh Basil Salem Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah and was sentenced to death..."
I'm intrigues he had a nephew with the name 'Basil". Also did he ever give a reason for murdering his 14 year old nephew?

Basil isn't the same. It's Arabic for "Fearless." Asad's brother had the same name. The nephew was 52, btw.

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more. A hasty quarrel kindles fire, and urgent strife sheds blood. If you blow on a spark, it will glow; if you spit on it, it will be put out; and both come out of your mouth

I'm not sure how reliable this story is. No major media outlets are reporting it, and Catholic World News says that the video may be false.

I couldn't find the supposed video, but I did find reports of his murder conviction which match that detail of the story as reported on the Christian websites. So he does seem to exist, despite what Catholic World News says.

Many years to the Kuwaiti prince on becoming a Christian. (That is, if you believe the news reports)
