I am humbly asking prayers for my wife Catherine. We have been married for some 44 years.  She is presently ill with upper respiratory infection and has had a recent xray to find out what the problem is.  She has had this ailment for some 5 weeks now and is on her third antibiotic drug.  She is scheduled for a CAT scan soon because, although they found no mass or tumors on the xray, they did see a suspicious area around the lymph nodes.

I will keep you abreast of any changes.

In Christ,

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I thank you all for your prayers and concern.  Cathy has an appointment on the 9th of September for a CAT scan.  I know personally that prayers are heard and are answered. I have seen it happen more than once.  Again, thank you all.

Will let you all know the results when I do.

Well I made mention of getting back to all of you on the result of my wife's CAT scan.  We has a meeting today with the Pulmanary Medical Doctor to review Cathy's CAT scan.  It was what we suspected a tumor in the left lung.  Well it will be a long and tedious but positive treatment period ahead of us.  She will be having a brain scan as well as a bone scan to find out if there has been any spreading of the desease.  It looks like a lot of radiation and chemo ahead for her. So, I do ask you continued prayers of healing which you have so generously given thus far.  We are determined to have a positive attitude and to face this thing both face head-on.

In Christ's Mercy,

JoeS

We are most fortunate to be in an area with very experienced surgeon's who specialize in this sort of thing.

Sorry for the poor grammar.  I meant to say:
We are determined to have a positive attitude and to face this thing head-on.
