In a mind-boggling result of the 'justice' system in Afghanistan, a woman who was raped faces a decision: marry her attacker, or go to jail.

Quote
"He had filthy clothes on as he does metal and construction work. When my mother went out, he came into my house and he closed doors and windows. I started screaming, but he shut me up by putting his hands on my mouth," she said.

Lord have mercy.

So the victim gets jail time for being raped and the authorities see it as adultery? C'MON SON!

(I would have said "FOH!" instead of 'C'mon son' but I'm afraid I might get warned)

Worse, if forced to marry her attacker, then she would be the second wife (slave) of this rapist.

How many other women will he rape? Obviously, he does not believe in being faithful to his first wife.

Kinda like biblical justice, IIRC. Or those recently discussed canons asking for the raped woman to be investigated for "whorish behaviour". Thank God we know better now.

Yes, it took a little long for my tastes, but credit must be given where credit is due: at least Christianity has managed to separate it's tenants of faith from its barbaric past, unfortunately the same cannot be said of Islam.

What's the use of saying you would have said it when in the act of saying you would have said it you say it anyway? Huh
