Does anyone know of a canon or akathist written "for" the newly illumined or baptized, especially infants?

Does anyone really care what you think?

No, since when are newly illumined elevated to sainthood? The canon of the cross is chanted at baptism while the baby is clothed.

LOL.  That's why I put the "for" in quotes, arimathea.  I was thinking of something like the akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos of the icon of the Inexhaustible Cup is "for" those struggling with alcoholism/drug addiction and was wondering if there was something "for" the newly illumined.

The Canon of the Cross seems to fit the bill.

Thanks!

Thanks for this.

My first google hit is this:

Is this the translation you are familiar with?

Yep, that's the one I have.

I've not nerded out on the icons. I never looked into the Theotokos with Christ in a Chalice icon. (I have no idea when and when not to capitalize.)

Twice, you've given me what I didn't know I needed akathistwise.

Many thanks.

You're welcome.  I can't remember the first.  What was the other one?

As far as nerding out on icons, I suppose it comes from growing up RC.  It's just part of the culture.

Played no small role in a very poignant time for me. Just happened to see your post. And was blown away by it.

Ah, yes, I remember now.

Glad to be of service.  That particular akathist is always a help for me.
