Thank you, Lord Doog...um, so what does the name mean? And welcome to the forum.
if its ok with you, I'd like to add this link to the Sources for Oriental Orthodox Studies thread above.
I'm one of the lucky few who has the actual Encyclopedia set. Well, actually my father does but close enough.

if its ok with you, I'd like to add this link to the Sources for Oriental Orthodox Studies thread above. Absolutely. I must have missed that thread. Sorry bout that. um, so what does the name mean? Nothing religious. One day i was in a tae kwon do class where they had us doing some sort of drill. One of the instructors (a jokester) looked at someone doing the drill wrong and said "That is not good. That is the opposite of good." Myself being a jokester, I replied "You mean doog (good spelled backwards)?" He cracked up and said it sounded like a villians name if you added a "lord" in front of it. So Lord Doog became my unofficial nickname.

This is just a note that the encyclopaedia ends at "Oxyrhynchus Papyri". Presumably they haven't gotten to adding "new" entries nor updating existing ones, but instead are still in the midst of the process of making a Web-friendly format for the original material (I could be wrong). The Coptic Studies Council is requesting contributions. It is not clear whether this is strictly monetary or volunteer help in the task of completing the letters P - Z entries: http://www.cgu.edu/pages/5446.asp.

This should be added to our 'sticky' references thread.

Salpy was kind enough to add it to the "Sources for Oriental Orthodox Studies" page.
