The stupid putting hands up with the priest during the Novus Ordo. And the hand holding during the Our Father. Pretty much the whole Novus Ordo. Went to Ash Wednesday mass tonight and the only good thing was the priest was conservative.

Well and getting ashes and the luck that I was in the right place to have the priest put them on my forehead instead of some layperson. I switch line for communion. Never get it now, but I do cross my arms to get the blessing. But didn't have to cross tonight. Gee I miss having a Latin Mass to go to!

Pet peeve #102: When people in a TV show are supposed to be running for their lives, but their pace is more like a moderate jog.

Pet peeve #103: When I don't cry during the parts of a show that I thought I should/would, and when I do cry during the parts that I thought I shouldn't/wouldn't.

The home town of Mister Rogers is the place I've lived at for (mostly) about a decade now. If you ever stop by Latrobe I'll show you around and... hmm... well you can see the signs commemorating him.  Though I guess there is also the Fred Rogers Center at the local Catholic college.

Yeah, I loved coming home and watching him as a kid. Latrobe....that sounds like one of those Wisconsin towns. Where is it? I almost always can tell a "Wisconsin" town. I spent time in Wausau with Institute of Christ the King and then in Viroqua with a friend.

I think there are several Latrobes in the US, but this one is in Western PA, about an hour east of Pittsburgh :)

Regarding my pill box which I just filled up for the week....that is an OCD and quite a frustration for me because I have a lot. My pill box has Morning, Noon, and Afternoon, and Evening. I removed the "Afternoon" section but I take my medicine at 8AM, 4PM, and 11PM.

Morning-3 500 MG Keppra tablets; 1 epitol 200 MG
Noon-3 500 MG Keppra
Evening-3 500 MG Keppra; 1 epitol 200 MG

So it's quite a work every week filling it, mostly because I get a bit neurotic that I do not put too many/little somewhere. It may not seem like much but it is and I get neurotic about filling it. I check it over and over!

Oh and regarding all that I hate Wal-Mart Pharmacy where I get my medicine. I hate waiting in line behind all the people--always a line. And they are usually, sorry to say, the type of people you might expect to see on peopleofwalmart.com.

Showers are to get clean.  Baths are for relaxation.  You must shower before you get in the tub, though.

It may surprise you to learn that when shopping in a store you will sometimes want to stop and look at the products. Here is a helpful hint should such a desire arise. While standing for 5 minutes deciding which brand of whatever to buy, please put your cart to the side of the aisle and let enough room for other people to pass you. This will help you to avoid annoying your fellow shoppers.

Wal Mart grocery. Kroger, if you have that in your area is so much better. Why I hate Wal-Mart grocery

1. Political reasons
2. peopleofwalmart.com
3. The aisles are not very well arranged and ill-labeled.
4. People do not keep to the right there at all.
5. Their asparagus is always no good
6. Their produce solution upon the whole is not that good quality.
7. They have no butcher.

I do give them credit for having good gummy bears though.

When people say that generic brands taste just the same as the name brand. They might taste better sometimes, but they are never the same. Dr. Thunder is not Dr. Pepper and only Oreo is Oreo. I've had the knock overs and that is one place you are a heretic if you do not buy Oreo. Some things, when on a budget, you can go genetic, but not Oreo. And even if you do buy generic it never taste "just the same". That's lying to yourself to make yourself feel better about not paying more for the better stuff.

Pet peeve #285: The theological and practical timidity of many traditional Christians today, who are so frightened of ideas that they hide under various sheets and covers, like a little child shaking and scared, and yell 'No one is here! Go away! Hello? Did you hear me? No one is here! You can't make me come out!"

Mine. People who are obsessed with health. To the point of making it a religion or something. They can't enjoy a good meal without being concerned about some aspect of the "health" of it. Don't even try fried food with them. And they are all about two glasses of wine, no more. As if wine should be so limited! When you have a good bottle of wine you don't drink two glasses and put the cork back on it! But these health obsessed people would have you do that. It's one thing to destroy your liver as a wino, quite another to enjoy wine.

I did not understand this Justin. How do I discern that I am being timid versus ignoring a multitude of ideas that bombard me every day. I can justify what you are saying in a context relating to the more you know and understand the more demands you must address for yourself and others, or something kind of like that.
If you cannot remember everything, instead of everything, I beg you, remember this without fail, that not to share our own wealth with the poor is theft from the poor and deprivation of their means of life; we do not possess our own wealth but theirs.  If we have this attitude, we will certainly offer our money; and by nourishing Christ in poverty here and laying up great profit hereafter, we will be able to attain the good things which are to come. - St. John Chrysostom

"It's better in the original language!" or "Actually, in the original language it means..."

Neither type of statement is really helpful.

When young chanters hold candles at an angle all nonchalant. Their backs are usually slouched a bit too. I can't not correct them. I like posture in the Divine Liturgy. Nice and upright. Limit unnecessary movements.

My not knowing the original language isn't helpful and I have to take the other person's word for it.

Unfortunately, yes. It's not at a popular meme level, but I have seen it maybe (on average) once a month for a couple years now.

The whole concept of "life hacks".

"You're eating cheese wrong!"

"You're slicing cake wrong!"

"You're folding clothes wrong!"

Just shut up.   I hate the internet sometimes.
