Hi, everyone.  lately, I've had trouble with panic attacks.  I get cold, shaky, my heart races, I breathe fast, and I feel like I want to cry.

It's really embarrassing.

Please pray for me.

Lord, have mercy. Have you thought to speak to your doctor?

Please consult with a physician.  May the holy Unmercenaries intercede for you before the Lord.

Is it something that I should speak to my doctor about?  I haven't been to the doctor in years.  I plan to speak to the RN at school.

It's your decision what you do, but I don't think it's something that should be ignored. Smiley

This generally is something that can be treated with medication, so a doctor's visit wouldn't be a bad idea.

Trevor, there are really good techniques for dealing with panic attacks that a suitably qualified nurse, psychologist, psychiatrist or general practitioner should be able to teach you. They work for a good proportion of those who suffer attacks, so you should at least give them a try, I reckon.

Lord, have mercy on your servant!

This is something CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is good for treating with much success... make sure if you go somewhere they don't just put you on medication and don't actually do any kind of therapy.
