On the spiritual path somewhere between the Simpsons and St. Theophan the Recluse, but I still can't see the Springfield city limits sign yet.

This is Mr. Ismi's top item on his Christmas list:

We've heard the same and it just makes him want it more.

Don't worry. I doubt we'll have the money anytime soon!

I can never figure out those "used" prices on Amazon.  They sometimes seem way overblown.  $800 can't be the correct price for a hardbound copy of The Rudder can it?

Well, if you really want to set your sights on something, how about this: (And yes, you have to count where the comma goes in front of all those zeros)

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Remember when Fr. Schmemann's Great Lent mini-book was going for hundreds of dollars last Lent?  That was a bit odd as well.

PDFs are anathema to him. It's an old book thing.

But thank you for posting that anyway!

You can pull it off if you cut back on the coffee and spendy Christmas wrapping paper. :police:
