The stories are etched with fear and horror. And they are real. Survivors of a former 'eugenics program' carried out by the state of North Carolina have spoken out at public hearings.

From the article:
Quote
While North Carolina’s eugenics board was disbanded in 1977, the law allowing involuntary sterilization wasn’t officially repealed until 2003. In 2002, the state issued an apology to those who had been sterilized, but the victims have yet to receive any financial compensation, medical care or counseling from the state. Since 2003, three task forces have been created to determine a way to compensate the victims.  Officials estimate that as many as 2,000 victims are still alive.
He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will have no end.

Horrifying. Lord have mercy.

This is why we must question every decision made by every authority everywhere. Not necessarily hostile questioning, but we have to look twice, thrice, and even four times any time someone in authority makes a decision.

My town had a big eugenics thing some years ago. A movie was made about it too.

The place is still open and employs a bunch of folks....driving around on the grounds is alittle creepy still though.
